Serves: 12 Recipe from Half Crown Hill Orchard

 1 cup sugar
 1 cup vegetable oil
 2 eggs
 3/4 cup honey
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 2 1/2 cups flour
 1 teaspoon baking powder
 1 teaspoon baking soda
 1 teaspoon salt
 1 teaspoon cinnamon
 1/4 teaspoon allspice
 3 apples peeled, cored and shredded
 1/2 cup chopped walnuts


Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a nine inch Bundt pan.
In a large bowl, stir together sugar and oil. Beat in eggs until light, then stir in honey and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon
and allspice; stir into the batter just until moistened. Fold in apples and nuts.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the crown comes out clean. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
