Recipe from Half Crown Hill Orchard

 1/2 cup butter
 1 1/3 cups brown sugar
 1 egg
 2 cups flour
 1 teaspoon baking soda
 1/2 teaspoon salt
 2 cups apples peeled, cored and shredded
 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
 1 cup raisins
 1/4 cup apple cider or apple juice

Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter, sugar and egg. Stir in cider. Sift dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture. Mix in apples and nuts. Drop
onto greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375.
